Essentials
Under achievement is a key issue in education at present, right across the age range and curriculum areas. Ensuring children can read, write and are numerate is essential to successful progress. In Secondary school one focus must be for children to be able to access the National Curriculum, especially in Physical Education and School Sport. Competence and success in these activities can create foundations for progress in all areas of learning.
Physfun is in a position to offer the following support & services:

- introduce new initiatives e.g. improving basic movement and learning skills in Key Stage 3, or developing young sports leaders in Key Stage 4
- establish lunchtime and after-school sports clubs for disabled pupils and those with Special Educational Needs
- engage pupils in physical activities who may have emotional and behavioural challenges
- help engage the least active pupils in after school activities and after clubs
- provide pupils who are Gifted and Talented in sport with additional expert, intensive coaching and support
- help forge links with local primary schools to help with the development of PE and sports provision
- work alongside teachers in lessons
- provide high-quality CPD training for teachers
- provide high-quality training for volunteers, parents and adults to run sports teams,
- assist in organising large school sports events
- assist with the purchasing of specialist equipment and teaching resources
- provide lesson cover
- advise on Health & Safety matters
